I prefer the old version to the new -- changes to the dial are fine, but slab sides and crown guards just don't fit for me. Full disclosure... I own the old version!

You’d be better off selling to a trusted seller and buying new from AD.

I wanted a third watch to go with my Sub and GMT, and the previous AK was the one I considered. I like the new one even better. What JR16 suggests is a great plan.

The new changes make the new one a much better watch in my view. I recently parted with my 116900 to fund an SD43..... Will be looking to pick up the new Airking hopefully at some stage, fingers crossed haha

Great discussion

Since I own a Milgauss as well, doing the trade is very appealing. My dealer said that it will take him 6 months to get me one.

It wouldn't hurt to ask, however, the only person who can really say with any certainty of the feasibility is you. Yeah, it's basically a lateral move, but then again, you're the one that has to live with it.

FWIW, I did something similar with the black 216570 when they finally got rid of those atrocious phantom hands.

I gotta say its dar better looking than the previous one. It has a proper clastband the best part is the case. Sharp all around like a sub and thinner

I like the the crown guards and the new dial. I'd quite like to see the current 36mm Explorer with crown guards too out of curiosity via Photoshop. Having seen the new AK in the flesh (or rather in a window) I think its a genuine improvement. If I were in the market....I'd be tempted.

I like the new Air King. Definitely worth trading up.

Isn't the crown smaller on the new one? I definitely prefer the old one...
