That's what my boutique tells me. I asked for a Jumbo next year and was expecting the green ROC this year. I got a call asking if I would be interested in getting the Jumbo this year instead. They said a client was turned down by corporate for the Jumbo allocation and the spot opened up. They said they would put in the request under my profile and let me know.

Interesting - I asked this specific question to a boutique manager (at the other end of the world), and was told that allocations for the 16202 were approved by their regional office, while something like a CE openworked or Complication would need to go higher up in the chain. Also told me that anything 50th in Gold was not going to happen (but I could ask for a 50th 41mm RO/ROC in steel and they'd see).

I guess we're talking about the same thing. Corporate meaning AP North America or regional office like you're referring to. I'm not sure if it needs Switzerland sign off like my QP did though. All other than the likes of tourbillon, QP, openwroked are allocated at the boutique level like the 50th ROC.

So corporate already knows me? The hell... why is it so hard for me to get a non corporate approved watch then???
Edit: when I continued reading I saw people are calling corporate as AP North America. When I say corporate I am talking Switzerland. |

When we say corporate, it refers to the AP North America executives that make the decision here in the States. The 'higher ups' would then be Switzerland. |

Lol, thanks. Stars seem to be lining up for me with AP this year for sure. Haven't been approved yet for the Jumbo, so not counting my chickens quite yet.
