Watches and Whiskey DFW

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to gauge interest if I were to host a local Texas Watches and Whiskey event what the interest level would be.

Being a local Dallas-Fort Worth resident the events would be in varying locations around the metroplex whether it be at a Country Club, local whiskey joint or possibly even Rolex service center tours or AP boutique etc. would be rotating locations unless the group determines otherwise. Ultimately this would be a local networking event for whiskey/watch lovers who are also business professionals / entrepreneurs to grow our networks while doing something we love.

If you are interested please answer the following questions.

1. Monthly or Quarterly gatherings?
2. Specific brand gatherings (such as exclusively Rolex) or open to all watch collectors?
3. Reoccurring same location or varying location?
4. Any additional feedback/recommendations/comments/concerns.

This sounds like fun. I’m by no means a whiskey expert, but I wouldn’t mind learning.

1. Start quarterly makes sense to me
2. I’m open to all brands even though my small collection is all Rolex and Omega at the moment
3. Vary locations. I’m a Fort Worth guy and would hope to see some events on my side of the Metroplex

Great idea!

Let the watch manufacturers know. You’ll be surprised how they will want to show up with a booth to display product. It makes an event more interesting. If there’s a local rep they will want to participate.

4. I’m originally from Ft Worth and have family across DFW so I visit often, but since I’m in Tulsa, maybe weight my response a bit lower than a local. I’d also be interested in wine/beer locations as well…

Hello Everyone!

Sorry I have fallen behind on planning an event.

I appreciate everyones feedback and looks like the consensus is quarterly meetings to begin with

I’m proposing a first get together in late January once we are past the holidays.

I’m going to start searching for a venue and will be pursuing 3 routes and then we can pick the most viable option that provides some peace or mind from a security perspective so people can feel comfortable bringing whatever pieces they may wish.
I’m going to shoot some emails out over the weekend and will post an update when I have some options to pick from.

For now if I could get some tentative yes/no’s for if the second half of January works for the group. This will help greatly in venue selection and what parts of the metroplex we first meet in.

The first event will likely take place in Fort Worth or Southlake. I’m open to Dallas etc for the first meeting if the consensus is Dallas, but will be shooting for Fort Worth/Southlake at this current moment in time.
