What's the deal with watch content You Tubers changing their channel name?

I originally saw Watch Gringa do this, then Barch and Jack, and just yesterday saw the Timeless Watch Channel do this (I didn't bother watching his video for an explanation, I can barely get through any of his videos). I can't think of it, but somebody else did this as well. It seems they have all switched to their actual name. Adrian Baker says he "doesn't like talking behind a company name." Something similar with Watch Gringa if I recall...But I don't buy it. It seems to be a recent trend that several are on right now. There has to be a reason.

Surely this can't be a coincidence. Is this a new monetization scheme with advertisers? Tax reasons?

More curious than anything, it really doesn't matter...

it's a subset of trying to generate more interest by either rebranding or creating subsidiary/secondary channels. it tends to create momentum and views create revenue.

Just seems odd that a few are all doing it at the same time.

With his Bark & Jack business now established, Adrian may have changed his YouTube channel name so he can be more stridently opinionated without negatively affecting his shop?
