I believe the screwed down crown position depends on how the tube was positioned at manufacture. Totaly random.

I started with my crown pointing down and after playing with it a little bit I managed to position it pointing up fully tightened. That didn't come out right
In reality final position depends on the engagement point when it first starts threading. I don't know how to explain it, but even from before trying to get crown point up I've noticed that you can change position on things like soda caps by changing it's position when thread first engages. Don't ask me to explain it, but it just works. I was able to rotate crown to the position I wanted it to be and than start screwing it down, and vu ala - it was almost at perfect 12 o'clock position fully tightened.

Good luck.

The original crown on my TT Sub pointed to about 5:00. After a RSC overhaul including a new crown & tube, the crown points to about 5:00. Totally random based on where the threads were started on the case, tube, and crown.

My Sub is exactly as the pic above, my gmt is pointing south so its just the luck of the draw.
