Rolex Explorer end link sadness

Hi all

Long time lurker first time poster

I have a 1999 Rolex explorer

One of the end links is bent and sticking up

Is there any way I can shape it back into place or should I try and get a new one from RSC?

How much would an end link cost? (If they even still make them 😵*💫)

Thank you!!

Those are the older stamped metal end links and can be re-shaped. There have been a few discussions here on TRF in the past on this. I would do a search.

Honestly? You can use a bit of finger pressure. Once you have the link off the watch head and bracelet.

Bend it first, if unhappy with the results then buy a new one.

Rubber-tipped pliers, or similar, will do it. Just be very careful and slow, and be sure both sides look the same before you attempt to put the endlink back on the case.

This. These can be ordered no problem by every AD. I bought a set for a Daytona years ago. They were somewhere around 100 EUR if I remember correctly. Nothing to worry about.

Just use common sense remove from case and just bend endlink down slightly then re-attach to case very very simple to do.

Couple taps with a popsicle stick, good as new.

I am in the same boat. Except I tried to bend the endlink but FUBAR’d it. Will try bringing it to local watchmaker this week and see if he can do anything with it.

That’s not common sense to a lot of people, I would say the majority wouldn’t know how to take off a bracelet let alone know what an end link is.

I wouldn’t of known you can just bend it to be honest lol
