i have a 2018 c63 coupe and love it as well. i personally think they're better than the current m4/m3 aesthetically and i won't even go into the exhaust because it's not even a contest lol. don't think i could switch to a bmw at this point, although they're great cars for sure and the previous gen m4/m3 were one of the best modern designs for a coupe/sedan

Hate to rain on the OP's parade, but put me in the camp of "BMW has lost it's way"
I was a fanatic. Had many BMWs.... E30 (2), E36, E46, E53, E28, E90 (2), E39, F25, G01. It was hard to finally leave the brand (E30 M3 still remains, though!) The connected-to-the-road feeling is gone. The G01 X3M40i was a very fast mid-sized suv, but brakes were overboosted, and electric steering really stinks. Very expensive, too, and just not worth it anymore. Even modern 3-series don't have that "feel". It's a shame. The last 3-series I bought, I had to order from the factory. The lot was full of AWD, automatic BMWs. The salesman tried to talk me out of RWD and manual transmission. BMW is making cars for the masses, not the enthusiasts. I get it, but it's still a shame. |

I don't like the new grille design on the M3 and M4, but the driving experience is next level. I also don't like the iDrive 8 dash design and interaction. It's a tech nightmare, ala Tesla, as if the BMW designers just plopped down a long iPad on the dash.
I recently sold my 2019 911 to get into the very last production month (June 2021) of an F87 M2 manual. I'm more old-school, so I love the design inside and out, and it's got more horse power and torque than my former 911 (base engine). It's also a much more comfortable (and quieter) ride. There's a new M2 on the horizon but it didn't interest me because it has iDrive 8. |

Well, I'm a long-time BMW fan, strongly in the love/hate category. I've also owned Mercedes, many Porsches and some Audis. I always go back to BMW.
I had an M2, and it's a fun little car but rather brutal. The M3/M4 G80/G82 generation is much more civilized and for me, a better car. My M4 (well not the actual car, but a picture of it) is attached below. My car (both of them, actually) were properly equipped with three pedals. Can't get that in a Mercedes or an Audi any more. My "low powered" M4 came with the awesome Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and it was an absolute beast on the track. I'm not going to get into all of the superlatives because most of you I will not be able to convince and the rest don't really care, because you won't be on the track. On the streets, the ride was quite compliant and reasonable for a performance car. Road noise was minimal, and much much much much better than a 911 or Cayman. The steering is not what BMW used to be, but with every new generation or evolution, they are making it better.

I did get the dark grey! It's called Dravit Grey. Interior is Tartufo, which is a cognac looking color. After hours and hours of looking through different combinations online, this youtube video inspired my build. Mine will be almost identical to the one in the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFDLa0gwmIk |

I picked one up a few weeks ago but due to surgery haven’t been able to drive it, LOL. Actually, the day it was delivered to my house I was admitted to the hospital. Hope it’s fun as it will be a while before I can enjoy it.

There’s a CSL for sale on one of the car pages I am in. MSRP is 140,895 - He’s asking 189,999. Brand new 2023. Just fyi to op. I can link you up with seller if you’d like

Mike, look closely at the trunk, you'll see the xdrive badge on the left.
Hey Prince, it's beautiful! Nicely done, congrats!

Thank you! It was worth the wait. Yes, xdrive! The badge is a new addition to the M3/4 for 2023. The grip is phenomenal. Shouldn’t be able to drive 500hp that easily, but here we are. |

I love the new M4 and M3 but can’t get past that they dumped the double clutch for a slush box. No matter how much you spin it, it’s a torque-converted automatic. Maybe the DCT couldn’t handle the power, don’t know. But bummer nonetheless.
