Sorry, another trade question….

I have a 126710BLNR and a trade offer for a 16710 (with black insert) plus cash of full retail price of the 12671BLNR.

My idea is, do the deal and try to find a blue/red insert.

What’s the opinion here?

Pics help the decision.

I would, not a huge fan of the BLNR, great in pics but doesn’t do much for me in person. I think the LN versions of the GMT are the best, but getting a “pepsi” bezel gives you two watches, sort of.

So what you’re saying is that if you’re willing to be patient with your AD you can get a free 16710? Did you get tires at msrp?

I’m not sure I follow but what you’re saying is your BLNR at MSRP (not resale street price) for a 16710 LN plus some cash.

If do it if it’s about $5k back. That BLNR is popular but as above says it’s 3 watches in one and a classic you get back. And I also agree that the GMTcLN is the best of the modern GMTc variants. Pure class with that green text.

I read it as a 16710 plus about $11,000 cash.

Current, get full MSRP price on my BLNR and get a 16710 LN for free for this trade.

Sorry guys, what’s a GMTc? Is that 16710?

Was how people referred to the original 116710 - the first ceramic ("c") bezel GMT.

And I’d that’s the case, and AD can/will allocate you another GMT in a reasonable time, this seems like a deal in your favor. Even better if you don’t love the BLNR but prefer vintage/semi-vintage.

Thanks dannyp!

I do like the vintage GMT with the smaller number and dome style look. That is why I like my Tudor GMT. If I get this deal, will really need to get rid of the Tudor….

Would like to get the Pepsi bezel for it (how the hack do I do this?).

That’s a pretty damn good deal I think. I’d consider trading my BLRO for that.

In that case, perhaps trade the Tudor GMT for the Black Bay Pro? Vintage aesthetic, smaller diameter, and entirely different look (borrowing from the original Explorer II).

Unless that is one hideous 16710 I’d say you are getting a great deal

I would do it but to be clear - 16710 does not have a done style. That would be a 1675/16750. Great watch and getting a bezel is easy. You'll be able to get it from a forum member.
