I was shocked to learn that the latest retail RRP for CB is at around USD43K in Asia now. The good thing is no one turn it down and the queue is as long as ever if not longer

I’m assuming that is the MSRP in the US too, correct?
How much of a %change is this from 3-5yrs ago?
Quite impressive for an ‘entry’ piece :)

Not sure if you can consider CB an entry level piece now. I think the price difference between CS and CB is only a couple of $1000s now.

My understanding is that the CB is now an award piece for the good collectors.

Agreed. No way is it an entry piece. But that’s what it was initially intended to be, I believe, once upon a time. As there is no ceiling for the prices of luxury items, it is mind blowing to think what the future holds.

Yes, I paid JPY5.4m last month after 4 yrs of waiting. Hefty jump from when I first joined the list...~90%. Shocking, yes. Regretting, no.

One has to wonder if it is better to pay the grey price now which in the end may not be that different than the price we would have to pay after waiting 4 to 6 years…

You got a point there.. I can’t imagine one day when FPJ decides to pull the plug on CB.

I’d never pay the grey price. Too many other good things to get elsewhere.

I mean the are around 70k right now. Interesting to see if they get back to retail plus tax.
