I've compared them in person, and my point stands for me. The indices feel too long, and I really miss the AP. Also the minutes printed directly on the dial, while technically more complicated to print make it less of a sporty watch.

But that's just my opinion, of course.

Same as there's plenty of people prefering the 15500 over the 15510... there's also people that still prefers the looks on the 15400 over the newer references.

I even read people say the 15500 and 15510 date wheel is off, as if it was better on the 15400.

The thing is opinions are subjective. ;)

I do NOT like the newer, lighter bracelet on the 15510 though. i wouldn’t say it’s flimsy, but it feels more delicate than the 15500 bracelet
Actually I think the new bracelet might make the watch more comfortable to wear, it's lighter and it "bends" easier.

If you have nothing to compare it's ok, if you check it next to a 15500 then it looks a bit flimsy. It gets worse on the chronograph models, those ones should never get the thinner bracelet, the thicker case and extra weight doesn't go well with the bracelet.

If both 41mm then I admit that side by side comparison can influence one’s opinion about 15500 v. 15510. Ultimately it’s all subjective, as has been said.
Still, it’s nice to see grey market softening so that older models can be reasonably bought by those who strongly prefer certain features.

Agree completely! While some find the indices on the 11500 too short, they seem a little long on the 11510. I also like the minute track on a sport watch an maybe this plus slightly longer indices would have been ideal. And of course, the logo, which everyone misses. This along with the more robust bracelet seems to be a more sporty package. This model is not supposed to morph towards the Jumbo.
