Calling all hawkeyed WISs (Polishing Question)

Hi guys and gals,

Looking at this particular timepiece for the missus and I would like some input in regards to the polish on this watch.

By the clasp, it shows that it has been polished, but I'm not sure about the state of the case.

What do you guys see/think?

Those photos are way too photoshopped to tell the condition. I'm not even sure they are actual pictures they are so touched up.

Can't stand those cartoonish looking photos on listings.

The entire watch looks like it has been polished. Good luck with the hunt!

Is she set on that reference? Lots of way better looking pieces in the line up than that thing

Case looks 'soft', polished. Bezel does not look good - numbers look flat?? Call them and ask for better pics.

I've bought a couple watches from SWE based on the pics - way better than these washed-out photos. Got a fair deal both times.

I’d say you need proper pictures to asses it better they are like airbrushed photos

just look at the photo of the clasp, the crown is so blended in you can barely make it out

Looks pretty polished.

I often ask the seller for more spontaneous pics of the watch taken in sunlight, without filters or on the wrist. Their shots look so over processed.

It’s an 18 year old watch - of course it’s been polished or it wouldn’t have such a good appearance. The pics are of the Watch. If you look closely you’ll see the dings near one crownguard. So not a recut.

Those Tahitian MOPs are very very dark. Each one is different so be sure she likes a dark dial.
