Not a GMT, but my 126619 WG Sub weighs 230g with 1.5 links removed. So it's in the ballpark at least. I know GMT has a thinner caseback and a lot less clasp.

This is my GMT meteorite. I don't have a digital scale here but mine weighs about 220gr. I took out 2 links.

Is there a small sticker over crown? Any chance it’s merely distorting things?

Hmm, all in all it doesn’t feel right. An AD overseas which sells you such a rare watch but with a wrong crown? Hallmarks are hard to see from the picture but they look not sharp enough. Also the screws and the edges of the bracelet look rounded a bit. This all could also be explained by the bad picture quality. And of course, they left all the stickers on? If i had any doubts like you have i would have already be at the AD.

The top of the pinion on OP watch is raised and rounded, like a bubble,
the top of the pinion on the gen looks more like a "Rivet" Cannon Pinion The cannon pinion is the heart of the motion works. This piece is what translates the movement of the wheels on the back into the time keeping display on the front. Most commonly (there are several exceptions) this is attached to the center wheel via friction fit and it is the post that the minute hand is set on. |

That's so bad that this no longer feels like an AD sale gone wrong, it feels more like a faker fishing for a critique. Very weird. |

Interesting read. I don't think I would have noticed any of that. This is why I don't buy outside of authorised dealers.

I would go back to the AD a lot of odd things going on for such an expensive piece. Where was it purchased?

Following...
How does an AD in another country sell a highly collectible Rolex to a customer from another country? Then does not remove the stickers. And now all these issues.... Hhmmm...... .
