2023 New Releases - I Think I Cracked It

Hello all,

I know there is already a thread for 2023 new release speculations based on the teaser video Rolex dropped, but I am creating a separate thread as this is a bit different.

I am a digital advertising/website nerd by trade, so I naturally am always poking around different sites in my free time. I have been monitoring the Rolex website for a while now, and on my most recent site crawl, I found several new pages returning 404 errors that I believe are the new models we will be seeing on Monday.

All of the following URL's are currently indexed to Google, but they are new (first crawls all this month), have zero or very few links pointing at them, and are valid URL's currently returning 404 errors:

Furthermore, most of these URL's have corresponding versions in other languages AND corresponding newsroom article URL's (including one speaking to the new submariner's waterproofness). Thus, it looks like we can expect to see an all-new Daytona finally, a new Submariner, new Day Date variation(s), a new 40mm Explorer, a new skydweller (wasn't expecting that), a new yachtmaster (probably in titanium) and a new oyster perpetual.

Of course, I have no idea what the variations will be, but I believe these are the new models we will see. Happy to see everyone's input on this, especially everyone's thoughts on the teaser video with this new information!

He's saying he cracked the url syntaxes for when the pages go live. Also, it shows the model names of the new pages suggesting what the lineup may look like.

A 40mm Explorer? I guess the 36 wasn’t giving them enough sales if that’s the case

I don’t have the technical chops to have an educated opinion one way or the other but I applaud the effort and it’s making me more excited to see what drops on Monday! Thanks Justin!

Why would Rolex list those urls as "rolex.com/watches/new-watches/(whatever model)... ??

Seems like another fake "leak."

I just realized I forgot to list one of the URL's:

This is not a model I am familiar with (the 1908), but perhaps this could be a new Cellini? I believe 1908 is the year Rolex was founded, but I haven't seen a specific model referred to as "the 1908."

All of these URL's are either 404 errors (meaning the URL is indexed, but the actual page itself isn't published in the backend of the website), 301's (meaning the URL is redirected to another URL instead of directing to the content on that page), or 'Access Denied'/'Prohibited' (meaning something is blocking access - could be a plugin, a specific parameter, database block, or a host of other things being used to shield the content from being viewed).

These are all URL's that Rolex has submitted to Google to be indexed, but they have taken some measure to block the content.

This is cool, great idea PartyRoss. Also this confirms it, take a look at these links the raw HTML of the "New Yachtmaster" page.

Goes to a new-explorer-40 page

I am actually seeing other interesting links on the response before redirect as well when you hit one of your links. They only hit links to new-explorer-40 which would be a 40mm Explorer.

Now going to that URL also has refs out to a new-explorer-42 page

So looks like we can add a 42mm to the release list as well.

I am going to dink around a bit more on this. Put it through burp suite see if any of the redirect activity reveals anything interesting.

Here's more insider scoop =
https://www.rolex.com/watches/Fake/News.html
Anything typed in puts the same "not available" page at Rolex.

How did you find this URL? I ask because it is not on the list I generated.

Anyone can make up a URL, type it in, and see a page that says "sorry, this content doesn't exist" or something similar, but this does NOT mean that the specified URL is indexed to Google. Switch out "patek-audemars-omega" in the above with your last name, hit enter, and you will see what I'm talking about.

I utilized a paid software tool that pulls indexed URL's and then combed through them to find the URL's I posted. I am not saying this is 100% what we're going to see, but it mostly aligns with the teaser video and certainly seems feasible.

This is literally the exact same URL structure Rolex used for the 2022 releases this past year...

Don't believe me? Click on these
https://www.rolex.com/watches/new-wa...-air-king.html
https://www.rolex.com/watches/new-wa...master-ii.html
https://www.rolex.com/watches/new-wa...master-42.html

Oh and it's also the same URL structure they used then they released the DeepSea Challenge not too long ago:
https://www.rolex.com/watches/new-wa...challenge.html

The links they listed are not on my list, thus I have no reason to believe they are indexed. Anyone can simply make up a link that generates the same error messages that the links I posted generate - the difference is, I downloaded an excel file containing more than 30,000 indexed URL's, and parsed through them to find these as opposed to just typing in random model names.

Only the newsroom links (which I didn't post in the above), trigger 301's - here are a few of them for you to check:

https://newsroom.rolex.com/watches/n...ster-perpetual
https://newsroom.rolex.com/watches/n...ew-sky-dweller
https://newsroom.rolex.com/watches/n...new-submariner
https://newsroom.rolex.com/watches/n...waterproofness

They all seem to be redirecting to 2020 versions of these pages/articles, but I don't have the Burp Suite, so please let us know what you're able to find!

It's possible that the GMT URL hasn't been indexed yet, or that it was just recently indexed and my tool didn't pick it up. Or of course, it's also possible that there is not a new GMT coming (although it does look like it in the teaser).
