5513 variations - do they differ in size?
I wore a 5513 “big lume” MK1 (1978) and I found it just huge compared to my 1680s. Is it just the big lume versions of 5513 that have a bigger dial (and case maybe?).
Owning many 1680s, the white 1680s have a much bigger case and dial than the red 1680s. What are the size difference variations among 5513 and 5512s? |

No significant difference that I know of between the various matte dial variants (late 60s through early 80s), and obviously the dials get swapped all the time. Just minor differences between the printing and lume plots. Different bracelets/clasps can obviously make the watch feel larger or smaller.
If you go back to the gilt-gloss era of the early 1960s, the crown guards are different in some versions. I don't have firsthand experience with 1680s because I prefer the no-date style, but I know red and white dials are often swapped, so I am skeptical that there are differences between the cases. Maybe you can show some side-by-side photos with measurements to illustrate the size difference. If the white 1680 is "much bigger," it should be apparent. Here is a photo I made to compare lume plots, but you can use it for the cases if you want.

I think dimensions are similar. Perhaps just optical illusion or in your head?
