Icon5 Which of these YG sports models would you pick?

I'm in the market for a full YG sports model and I'm between the Daytona and the Submariner. Daytona would either be the white or black dial and the Submariner would either be the blue or black dial. Which would you pick out of these options?

Without knowing what else is in the watchbox for you…if it was me, I’d go for the YG LN sub. It’s a beauty.

I have a RG DD40 and a SS DJ II so I'm looking for something sportier in YG.

If you are a Scuba enthusiast I would go for the Sub. If you're a race car fan, I'd go with the Daytona. Silly me, but I just think that specific made watches go best with their intended purpose.

What if I'm neither and just want a nice YG sporty watch?

Are you looking at Zenith Daytonas? 16528 is a personal favorite of mine. Brushed lugs are killer.

Have you tried them on?

They wear very different.

I used to think I was a Sub guy, until I learned I’m actually a Daytona guy. Mostly due to fit on my wrist.

My first PM sports watch watch was the YG Sub blue dial (116618LB). It’s a beautiful watch but I ended up selling it after getting a YG Daytona PN dial.

The YG Sub wears much bigger and the blue dial version is very loud. I found the PM Daytona much more wearable and less in your face. The LN Sub YG may be less loud though.

You really need to try both on and I bet you will know which is best for you.

YG Sub for me!
I love my YG DD 40.
I am not a Daytona fan, I have had several (ss) and always sell them and ask myself why I did it again LOL
Really a personal choice.
I feel the Daytona feels and wears smaller than the Sub if that matters to you.

daytona. the sub is just too much in all gold imo, unless you have a big wrist

I was always drawn to the Yellow Gold Submariner with Blue Dial / Bezel … just absolutely stunning … a real standout.

The Gold Daytona with White Dial is beautiful, but comes in third for me.

If you are talking about the Gold Daytona with the so called “Paul Newman Dial” … that is a stunner.

It would be between the Blue Submariner and the Paul Newman Daytona for me … and the choice would have to be based on which style watch you like / want … a Submariner or a Daytona.

Wow, the pic of the new 126508 really makes me appreciate the now discontinued PN dial of 116508. The order one is so much more interesting.

Blue Sub. I've got the TT and could totally add the full gold. Black is alright, just not as striking.

I'd take either Sub over either Daytona. I far prefer the Sub.

For me… I’d go sub with the ceramic bezel, given you have the DD with the fluted bezel in RG
