Here, now, I'd take the 124270 because I prefer a new watch to one that's 15+ years old. Now, if it was the "olden days," where things sat in cases, every watch was available, and (because it's fantasy world) Rolex was transitioning directly from the 114270 to the 124270, with both available out of the case, I'd be torn.
