Don't disagree with your point, however. I will add that, whatever route I went, I'd want to find an original Tudor buckle.
Yeah, that's why I said "and/or". If it came down to a Tropic with a plain buckle vs. a Tudor strap with curved ends or a deployant, I'd choose the Tropic. If not that, I'd go with a Hirsch Pure plain rubber strap.
