Perhaps Tudor could have tested the water with a ‘One Watch’ made of carbon composite…

I don't like it, just seems to have too many contrasting colours on the dial.

A week ago, how many people had heard of Alinghi ?

AP has released limited edition ROs and ROOs with Alinghi.

while i used to think carbon fiber cases were luxurious i know longer think that. first, it has become cheaper to make. second, watches like the casioak and new tissot use it. doxa uses it. it isnt expensive or luxurious anymore. it is akin to using SS.

now i have no clue what carbon composite is vs carbon fiber.

im not a fan of these watches.

to me the 39 is the best pelagos around.

Oh I think this watch is gorgeous! The colors are classic and classy. It’s durable, lightweight, and functional and it looks the part. I would jump on the time only if it didn’t say “red bull” on it!

Looks good on your wrist. I was informed on another thread that they will most likely have multiple strap size options like they do with the FXP, so I'm hoping that helps out with the exposed velcro as seen on your wrist.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos! While it does look good on your wrist, that strap looks horrible!

Not a fan. The Red Bull and Alinghi co branding killed it for me. The strap looks cheap.

Strap looks good to me. Matches the dial nicely.
If the same as the original fxd, they are produced in an old world EU factory to a very high standard.

Just give the strap a chance :)

The Moonswatch however is a £230 item vs this Tudor is £3,000…
Which is the giveaway? As for your moonwatch analogy, lmao

The chrono really makes me grin.. mainly for hope Tudor comes out with a mainstream Pelagos Chrono on a bracelet in the spring.

As far as this dynamic duo, I really like the dark blue but would have preferred it on a bracelet and lack of Red Bull branding…. At least where they stuck it. Case back would have been a better choice.

At the end of the day, I'm happy this line is getting some love over the BB line but not exactly what I am personally looking for.

is there any insight as to what the 'carbon composite' actually is?

Since they didn't proudly reveal what it's made of I'm guessing it's mostly plastic.

Ceramic would have been better.

Watch is pretty badass looking

Strap is bound to be awful after 6 months, I threw my OEM strap out as the velcro wouldn't stick any longer (disappointing, but there's always Erika's)

No way I could get over the awful corporate branding on the rehaut. Had they just left it on the bottom of the case I would be interested, but having "RED BULL ALINGHI" hit me in the face every time I look at the watch is a true dealbreaker... real shame!

Funny so many haters… the watch looks cool and if you dont like it dont buy it … easy …. The watch is a sport inspired model so everything look just on point for what is made it

It does look very tough and badass. Even better with the wording hidden on the case back.
It seems Tudor are exploring many different case materials recently. Therefore the other thing that would interest me greatly is some long term reviews on real-world durability of the silver, bronze, titanium and composite cases.

Interesting, not much love here for this one. Time could change this.
I recall first seeing the original FXD on this forum, having the black Pelagos already, and not liking the FXD at all. But as time went by I began to gain interest in the FXD and now I own one and consider it an amazing watch. Maybe my favorite. Certainly a keeper.

Just declined one from my AD - 3 hander model.

Not keen on the Red Bull writing and have a MN FXD which gets a lot of wear.
