Best overall daily Rolex/Tudor in your opinion

I have considered this for a very long time, and for many years I thought it was the Submariner. However, I have recently found this to be quite perfect.



In fact, I would say that any Daytona (steel or ceramic) is satisfyingly balanced, in either dial colours. There are days where you don't need any pop of colour.

I've been rotating between an Explorer 124270 and Black Bay 54. I've been preferring smaller watches lately, and while I do still have a Submariner 124060, I haven't really been wearing it for a few months.

Explorer MK II. I find the 39mm to be the sweet spot in size, plus it wears super comfortable. It gets about 70% of wrist time out of the collection, especially when I’m out roughing it. My GMT BLNR comes in second.

Objectively, it is probably the Sub. However, this forum is largely subjective, so I’ll pretend I’m a world traveler without an i-phone who needs to track time zones with my watch . . I’ll go with the distinctive Pepsi GMT ceramic.

This is my answer as well. I bought the 40mm when it came out because I thought the 36mm was too small. I gave the 124270 another shot and it turns out it's the perfect daily for me. The brushed bracelet and lack of date cyclops helps it fly a little under the radar. The taper is rather extreme but it took about 24 hours on the wrist to make it seem just right. There is nothing wrong with the bigger sizes either.

Pelagos 39. It looks good, is light weight and the bracelet is easy to adjust for wrist swelling. I also find the stainless Daytona very comfortable, but I prefer the more under the radar look of the Pelagos for a daily.

Pelagos 39 for me as well. Perfect daily IMO. Love the titanium color and how light weight it is. Splash of color on the dial like vintage subs. Gets a lot of wrist time for me.

If you need a Date - Submariner Date - black. Pelagos 42 Black or LHD
If time only is ok - Explorer 36. BB58 black.

As small as I can go but oh so. Comfortable on wrist under any and all circumstances, summer or winter, summer or winter.

Depends mostly on wrist size, and also attire.

Smaller wristed...Explorer 36mm or Tudor BB54 (it wears large IMO).

As for a little larger, any Tudor BB, Daytona is the perfect watch (referring to steel, or all gold if that fits your lifestyle, etc). I'm just not a big Sub guy, but I think it's a candidate for the best / only watch you need. I find them extremely common, so not something I would gravitate towards, but it's durable and goes with just about everything.

If you absolutely MADE me pick just one, Daytona 116500 Panda.
