It’s extremely common. It’s better if they pop bottles in the store and not 375mL but the full size ones; ideally Billecart or better.

lol, I always down a full bottle of bubbly when buying a watch at an AD. It’s half the fun.

Congrats on the pickup!!

My SA gave me a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label for my birthday this past April. I was waiting for a BLNR at the time so he said he wanted to at least give me something blue for my birthday since my watch hadn’t come in yet.

Got me the watch in July; he’s a class act.

Stunning...was also well worth the 3 years wait.
Maybe I'll show this to my AD and probably get my own gift too.

Congratulations OP.

DMR in Manchester, UK are my AD. With my first purchase at the end of 2023 (41mm Silver OP) I recieved a Rolex pen in presentation case and a watch roll, on my second purcase a couple of weeks ago (40mm Expolorer ) I was given a bottle of champagne and a golf umbrella!

Wow. Enough merchandise for a lifetime! You must have more watches than an average AD!

OP was about 6 months, Exp was out of the blue. I had mentioned in passing when they were released I'd like one but nothing official as I'm on the list for a Sub from them.... I was already (still technically am I guess) on the list for the Exp at Goldsmiths though so it was something that was already on my radar and was more than happy to be offered it by DMR.

Congrats on the watch you will love it.
When I picked up my Bluesy in March, the hand over was very nice but only got offered a coffee and no gifts at all, having said that their Rolex area was being refurbished at the time.

Just wondering how common it is for the AD to throw in that type of gift as a thank you for your custom? Have any of you guys got any other unexpected extras when picking up a new piece?

Well done , my favourite AD

Twelve Rolex purchases from six different ADs over the last 20 years, and what did I get? In each case, just the watch...

Congrats OP! I'd say it's uncommon.

We're using to the tables being turned. People take the entire AD staff for a steak dinner or Tequila Tasting
