Beware

I just new to this group, but wanted to report this guy as well.
He met with me yesterday at my bank branch here in Orlando.
I was able to see a picture of him on another Rolex forum.
Fortunately, I discovered the scam ( changing of the envelopes ) and when I asked him why he was having another “white envelope “ inside “ his leather pouch” he ran off

Because people are allowing it to happen?

If I'm at the bank and you hand me $15,000 cash, the teller is going to count that money and give me a deposit slip before I hand over the watch.

Seems most of this is on the seller.

The thing is, when he see the watch he asked if he can take a picture and send it to his friend to verify is good ( another be to take control of the sale ) then once the money it’s verified, he start the trick. I catch him right at the spot when he changed the envelopes and he got very nervous and ran off after I confronted him verbally about the “envelopes change”

Oh Baby I sure hope he's still in Florida and tries with me. I'll turn that perp into a victim by holding onto the envelope of hundreds AND my watch. Who's he gonna call the cops? I'll have 911 on my cell ready to click as soon as I recognize the guy. Let him loose the $15k to the cops and try to out run them :)

yep. or the cash stays in the teller's hand after the count, you hand the person the watch at the counter, and then you just go and sit down until buyer leaves.

I've even done it in a casino, same general idea. I turned the cash into chips in front of buyer, he left, I cashed in the chips. Before you ask why, it was to confirm that each and every bill was good.
