Thank you all for your beautiful sentiments. I have been part of other forums but this one is truly special and I thank you all from my heart.
We knew that Cosimo Jr would have an uphill climb in life and I can say he truly lived. He touched so many, over 200 people attended the services of a 22 month old! The one solace my wife and I have is he lived and loved every day to the fullest. Not a single regret for things we should have done. Can anyone say their life is like that? and since July 3 at 7:30 am eastern, that is how my life has been. So as an addendum to "what has touched you the most", I would add what have you learned from it? JJ, special thanks to you for I know you can empathize. I remember reading posts about Ronan prior to July 3 and thinking I should PM you. Well, You and your grandson were and are in my family's prayers, The greatest human emotion is empathy, in my opinion, and though I dont know you or Ronin's plight, I empathize with you and wish you the best. Thank you all very much |

I'm thankful that I have not had to suffer the loss of any of my family (yet, but it's inevitable), so I cannot imagine losing one of my two young children. Cosimo, my heart goes out to you.

One touching moment(which happens often in my house) - having my nine year old spontaneously snuggle up to me, gaze into my eyes with that intense look children get, and say "I love you mommy!". Another moment - as I was driving up to CT with the children, my husband called to say hi. He asked me to be extra careful driving as "his whole life was in that car". I know - nothing terribly exciting, but I am a sentimental sap. Another - seeing my dad facing what life has to offer with strength, cheerfulness, and dignity despite a wheelchair, oxygen tanks, and the inability to walk more than 2 steps without running out of breath. Finally, all of these moving posts have touched me deeply.
