Which skeleton?
Been thinking about a Skelton watch. Been collecting for many years and have never owned one.
Currently, it's between: Cartier Santos. I like it a lot. It wears large for it's size, but I'm tall with a 7.25" wrist and some watches (ie: Rolex Daytona) just look too small (IMHO of course). I'm concerned I may decide it's not big enough. Not sure at this point. Piaget Polo Skelton, in blue but possibly grey. Haven't seen either in the flesh yet, but will have the opportunity soon. From pics and videos, it looks great. Bulgari Octo Finissimo skeleton. Haven't seen the skelton but have had a non-skelton on my wrist. Impressed with the thinness (for a change) and how large it wears. Will also be able to see this soon. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. |

These are all very nice options, and a bit challenging to choose between without considering other factors. Mainly, the question is whether you’ve had a chance to try them on to see how they fit and look on your wrist.
The Bulgari is really impressive and worth strong consideration since you have a regular Bulgari and are happy with the fit. The Piaget is also one I personally like a lot, on par with the Bulgari. Pictures of the specific pieces may help, if available. |

I don't own a Bulgari, I had a couple non skeletons on my wrist and really liked the fit and feel. Haven't been able to try on a Piaget but I will be able to in a few days.

I think the Cartier is the nicest of those choices.
Would a Girard Perregaux Laureto be in contention? I like the GP skeleton piece too, and its 42mm, so probably wears similar in overall size as the square Cartier. |

Of the three listed, I like them all. Only one I have tried on is the Octo. Polo looks impressive with its movement taking up the entire dial. The blue really pops in pictures. Would love to see one someday.

Between these, the Cartier — but I would also check out some of Hublot’s skeletons as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looked at Zenith and GP. Nice, but I'm not in love with either one.
Love the Parmagani but not it's price point. The Un Blast Skelton X looks intriguing. I don't really know much about the brand. I can't get the Bulgari out of my mind. The thinness and case design are so unique. Looking forward to trying the Skelton model on soon. |

What do you guys think of the Ulysses Nardin Blast Skeleton X 42mm titanium or the Executive Skeleton Tourbillon 44mm?

Ulysse Nardin Blast Skeleton X 42mm is a very good watch. Pre owned prices are good value for money. Very modern looking and nice watch to wear and enjoy

I'd like to add a skeletonized watch to the collection too. I have tried the Piaget Polo Skeleton in blue and was not impressed. I had two major gripes:
1. The case looks very two dimensional, probably caused by a thin case plus a flat crystal. 2. The legibility is pretty bad. (The grey version seems even worse, from what I've read) I am leaning more towards partial skeletonized watches now. Like the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic or the Breguet Tradition. |

It’s a beauty, but… First deliveries won’t start until 2025. 30% upfront deposit, only 21 orders fulfilled per year online. Ergo, hens teeth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Not on your list, but tried this one on recently and it is stunning. Great value for what it costs too.
