Model numbers of a Stainless Steel GMT II
Hey Guys,
Reference 16710 Do all GMT IIs have the same reference number or are they simply known as a 16710 with a Pepsi bezel etc. Aaron |

You are correct. All current S/S GMTII use the same reference number that you mention, i.e., 16710 regardless of bezel

However, the paperwork will indicate which color bezel is original. Last edited by maverick; 11 September 2005 at 01:05 PM.. |

clarification on T
Maverick: If I'm not mistaken, the T denotes the Y-series AFTER the change to the no-holes case was made. Early (lug holes) Y-series are simply 16710, and the later ones are 16710T. The F and D series models are simply 16710 again. Tim

Below are images of my TT Blue Sub (very late Y-series) and my SD (early F-series). BOTH watches have the letter 'T' after the ref.no. And BOTH watches were without lug holes.

One exception is the SS/Plat YM which has just 16622. I do not think it ever changed from the original design in 1997 so it never had holes. =) maverick
BTW, nice pics, JJ |

You're right about the YM. It came in from day one without lug holes on the sides so the question of the letter 'T' never did arise. JJ
