Top Time Deus

Anybody have one? How do you like it? How's the wearability/thickness?

The one thing missing from my collection is an automatic chrono. Despite a good relationship with my AD, I realize there's a snowball's chance in he## that I'm ever going to get a Daytona, so I am exploring other brands. I've checked out Omega Speedmasters, but many of the chronos are manual-wind rather than automatic, and the autos all tend to be extremely thick (around 16 mm), which I will never be able to get under a shirt cuff. So I started looking into Breitling and in particular the Top Time models.

I have had two different Breitling watches over the years, both of which didn't do a great job keeping time (kinda important for a watch!), but my friendly sales rep assures me that the B01 movement is significantly more accurate.

Sooooo -- thoughts? I really like the look of the Top Time models but haven't yet had the chance to try one on. Or is there some other manufacturer of an automatic chrono that isn't hockey-puck thick you'd recommend?

Thanks, all!

I bought the Top Time Deus back in 2021 when they first had their collab with Deus. I loved the design of it but I feel it got way too commercialized after Breitling saw how much people liked it and since then they’ve launched many different iterations of this watch (including one that looks almost identical to mine but in blue).

Compared to a Rolex, it’s a bit thicker and the lugs make the watch longer and flare out a bit more, so it’s not as comfortable as a Rolex, and for me it keeps rotating on my wrist slightly (the watch face will not sit flat on my wrist, it will migrate towards my wrist bone). Overall, it’s still a nice watch and I get compliments on it when I do wear it but for wearability I do like Rolex better.

That's all super helpful. Thank you!
