Adding to the collection... 19018
My first ever gold watch!
I really wanted a "presidential" for those special occasions but quite frankly I can't afford one... well I guess I could if I dipped into my savings but that's not going to happen. Then I discovered the Oysterquartz DD, did some research and decided that I like the idea of owning something different. The more I read about the quality of the Mark II 5055 movement, the relatively small number manufactured AND the price I decided to take the plunge. I found one in the FS/WTB forum, spoke to the seller Anastasios (tempoking) and went for it. It arrived today, safe and sound but my heart sunk... it's TOO SMALL! I can't wear it until I get the bracelet lengthened by no less than two links.

GREAT move!
I LOVE that watch! I looked at it MANY times and debated trying to see if Anastasios could do any better on price but I kept finding something else that took away my funds. |

That's a really cool watch. I think a quartz DD is a great idea. The fact that is has some age is even cooler! I'd change out the frenchy day wheel though.

Woody,
Great looking and, no doubt, a very accurate Rolex. I don't know that much about the Oysterquartz models. The watch, overall, appears to have a more flattened profile to the mechanical Day-Dates, including the bracelet. Is it 18ct, with solid links and, I wonder, do they still make them?
