OK... Well, my wife's friend loudly proclaims she wears a man's watch because she does not like smaller women's watches - which fits perfectly with her personality. She was trying on all the men's watches at the table when we were on vacation with them a few months ago determining which watch she would get next. Probably more to do with the fact that we are boomers.

So am I, but have been into watches for a very long time. Being boomers, it’s much easier to read the date without glasses. My paternal grandmother was ahead of her time. I remember when I was a kid, she wore a large man’s watch on a gold twistoflex band. I asked her why she was wearing a man’s watch, and she simply said, “so I can read the time.” I guess I’m channeling her, now.

My wife has a 28mm DJ which looks just perfect and she wears it daily and has done for 6 years now. Unbeknown to her an OP 36 is on its way too which, whilst far larger, I’m hoping looks just as good !🤞

My wife owns three DJ31. She tried a 36mm for a while but the lug to lug size was too big for her wrist.
I believe that the DJ31 along with the “small” Cartier Santos Dumont, which she also owns, are arguably the perfect sized watches for almost any woman. |

All watches, no matter size, look better on a female wrists. Here's my gf rocking a 37mm AP, 36mm DD & the GMT M2.

Perfect size in my opinion. Any larger and I’d think you were wearing someone else’s watch.

The 31mm looks too small from the photo. I would consider the 36mm, many choices in Rolex. My wife and daughter both have 36mm Rolex.

36 mm is the sweet spot for my wife. She is a size 4/6 and like the size of the 36 over the 31mm. Sometimes wears my 41 DJ.

Your watch is beautiful and it looks great on you. I think women now can wear whatever we like and what we feel comfortable in. My last "small" watch was a Santos from back in the '90s but ever since then I"ve worn mid- to large-size watches because I am buying them myself (vs. gifts from my mom who thought it was odd to wear a man's watch!). I rotate among a Daytona, a GMT, a mid-size YM, a 38mm Chanel J12, the larger Hermes Cape Cod double wrap...I love a large watch on a smaller wrist! And I'm jealous you can rock that diamond bezel in style! My next will be the Celebration OP 36.

Perfect and lovely watch. Congrats.
The trend seems towards bigger watches on women lately. I think 31 is a good size. It’s small, but not too small. A good timeless middle ground on it all. My wife wears a 26mm OP Date. She prefers the old school small timeless elegance.

Which AD did you go with? My fiance is currently looking for a new 31mm to add to her watchbox to commemorate a milestone in her career. |

My girlfriend has 28 & 31mm, and they both look great.
She also has a 34mm, and it looks great … maybe the “just right” Goldilocks watch size for a sporty / casual look, on her petite wrist. 36mm is too big / clumsy looking on her. The 28 & 31 she likes to wear when she dresses up … classy, and dressy. I think the 31mm on the OP is a great fit for her … a great look. |
