Still loving the Diamond Royal

When the Tudor Royal Day Date was announced, I was most excited for the two tone diamond dial version. I had to wait for this particular model to become available, but when I got it 2.5 years ago, I was over the moon. And the excitement hasn't worn off.

At the time, it was between this one and a TT Datejust. Since it arrived, I have never looked back. I know it's not everyone's cup o' tea, but I love it. I definitely made the right call.

I grabbed a couple of photos of it on the wrist today:

Nice!

I like that the diamonds are there but not overpowering.
Amount of gold is not overwhelming.
No cyclops
I like that the III and the date are both at the 3 position.

Looks well worn, enjoy!

Thanks!

Yes, it gets regular wear from me - at least once a week.

I like the integration of the bracelet and pseudo jubilee. About 20 years ago I had an affluent greek friend who refused to wear Rolex and would only buy Tudor. He said they were lower key and suited his personality better. He had a sub.

Lovely watch Bill, congrats! I'd like a blue dial in stainless if the right deal came along.

Cool watch Bill. I love how the diamonds are set against a matte dial, not something one sees often and really lets the diamonds stand out.

Gorgeous! Hard to beat a two tone watch with a black dial IMO

Def sick piece! I am still not into diamonds per se but I think that will happen for me eventually as we all evolve in this rabbit hole lol.

Thanks, all.

One of the great things about this watch is that almost nobody knows what it is when they see it.
