having tried both recently I’d be inclined to disagree .. especially Daytona 126 .. looking at them I felt Daytona was a bit bigger to look at and presence on the wrist

Agree. But the Daytona (in gold) feels better balanced and Easy-Link clasp adjustment helps with wearability.

I own both. Daytona 100% wears smaller. Not even a question.

Not sure which one wears smaller. However, I personally like the DD. Daytona dial too busy for me.

Depends on the daytona. 116 is narrow, or 126, slightly wider. OF and white and rose gold on bracelet are chunky.

Daytona definitely "feels" smaller even though they're both technically 40mm

The Daytona tends to wear a bit smaller compared to the Daydate 40.

Absolutely Daytona. Every time I see or try one on at the AD I'm shocked at how small it looks in-person.

The Daytona wears flat compared to the DD but size wise the Daytona and DD are similar.

Daytona. Tried a platinum version on earlier today for the third time and the size is just too small. Have a DD40 as well and it definitely wears bigger

I think wearing smaller is better. It just feels better on the wrist

I own both.
Daytona gives appearance and feel of wearing smaller.

Have both. Daytona by a mile.
DD’s never fit properly either as the bracelet can’t be adjusted.

I'd say the 116 definitely wears smaller and the 126 wears almost the same as the DD40

Wear the same but Daytona will appear smaller due to busier dial

I own the 116508 and have tried on many 228238. The 116508 wears smaller for sure. Never tried on the 126508, but I think it has the same case at the stainless and two-tone variants that I have tried on. Those both definitely wear bigger than the 116508. They're probably pretty close to fitting the same as the 228238, maybe slightly smaller--but you're splitting hairs at that point.
