Yea, posts like this are annoying, doesn't acknowledge the canyon between difficult of acquisition between those listed models and the Panda.

I’ve been waiting five years for a Batgirl but that was just for me to save up the funds. I don’t think waiting five years for the hardest model to source from the AD is crazy.

Yes you can pay 2.5x retail and have it from a grey tomorrow but sometimes the wait adds to the enjoyment……… maybe!

I think it depends on when you got it- for whatever the BLRO got trickier to procure in the past 6-7 months or so. How exactly it fares with the current 126500, I don't know.

OP, congrats on the new acquisition! Looks great on you!

Amen! Just reading this thread now. Where someone is announcing that they got something they’re excited about, I feel that if you can’t say something nice, don’t participate in the discussion. If someone posts a thread asking if a Rainbow Daytona is too flashy, I might say that it’s not something I would wear. But if someone says they just got one, I would never say that. Either congratulate them or say nothing. But don’t say, “Congrats, but I’d never wear it.”

It’s common courtesy. It should be a little more common around here.

That person is no longer a member, so the mods did not like his comments, either. We are all enthusiasts here, and should support one and other, even when we don’t like a particular watch that someone is excited to have finally been allocated. Can’t we all just be kind? Bottom line: As you said, If someone can’t say something positive, he should just remain silent.

Late to this party, but I echo several others. Congratulations on acquiring an absolute grail of a watch. You did what you had to do, and it paid off. Wear it in the greatest of health.

I was being genuine about purchase history and relationship with AD because a member on here had inquired. My advice to you is to approach every information as additional useful knowledge not as a competition. Maybe it can help you get your Panda from your AD.

You’ve acquired really nice pieces for minimum effort and minimum wait time. Congratulations to you. Most would be thrilled with that collection. Why does it matter to you how much I spent and how long I waited? Life is too short to be angry at little things. Good luck with getting your Daytona soon.

For all members who came to my defense…,thank you!

My local AD told me it takes a minimum
of $125K spend history to be offered a Daytona. Congrats!

Huge congratulations and I hope you enjoy your new watch.

That spend amount is encouraging, with my upcoming 126710 GRNR my total spend with my AD is knocking on $90k, In sterling equivalent. I have registered my interest in the 126500LN black dial, fingers crossed it happens in the not too distant future!

Congrats on the Daytona, hopefully I can eventually get one, one day. One piece at a time for me. Looks great whether in a casual or formal setting I think.

Congratulations, the watch looks beautiful on you.

I couldn’t wait 5 months, let alone 5 years. Your patience is truly commendable.

Enjoy the heck out of that watch!

Hey: well done for being patient. And that wait has gotten you into the 126500LN rather than the 116500LN. While the jury is out on that, I'd be happier to get the refresh with the steel bezel ring and other tweaks. Also I'm a bit of a technology geek, so I love the high tech in the newer Chronenergy movement even though you can't see it.

(Although some owners on this forum have warned of reliability / amplitude problems with Chronenergy movements in non-chronograph time and time date watches. I would not care: if there are problems them Rolex will put it right for sure.)

Bottom line: congratulations. I wish that I had one!
