Rip dj am..

DJ AM was an admitted ex-drug abuser who had since conquered the addiction and was even in production of a drug intervention show to air on MTV.

He survived a plan crash a few months back along with fellow performer Travis Barker with severe burns but was still performing only a month later.

He was found dead in his apartment due to apparent drug use yesterday.. one can only image the daemons that arose after surviving a plane crash that killed 4 others..

Rest in peace Adam Goldstein!! You will be missed.

A real shame. I was driving through Columbia SC when his plane went down. Did he have an addiction issue prior to the plane crash?

Never heard of him before but sounds like he was a very lucky guy surviving a recent plane crash only to go back to drugs.

A shame... RIP.

I'm not sure about a recent incident before the crash. He was definitely at the top of his game, touring the world - very high in demand at big events.

May he rest in peace!

That is sad news, especially after surving an aircrash. As one who as also been lucky to be a survivor of an aircrash I know how hard it is to deal with the mental anguish of being a survivor when there were also fatalities.
RIP young man.
