Having multiple watches is about having options. I pick the watch for the situation not the outfit. Mixing it up is part of the reason to multiple watches.

I definitely don’t “worry” about it, but I like to coordinate my watches with everything else I have on. Attire first, then pick a watch to match.

Perfect match of colors isn’t a must for me, but colors that complement each other. I AM a shoe guy, so will often match dial/strap color to shoe color.

Sometimes, not always, what ever is closest even my iwatch or gshock. Also depends on the type of activity. No problem wearing a green dial with anything.

If you have only one watch (as many people do), then I guess you wouldn't.

I have a collection, so I do consider what I am wearing but more what I am doing. e.g. I would wear a Sub to go to the beach over a GMT.

I don't think it is ridiculous to match your outfit to your watch if you are the type of person who has several of the same watch in different colours (e.g. multiple DayDates or multiple Speedmasters as many people do).

Absolutely, yes. Swimsuit and beach, I’m wearing dssd. If you have a big collection, you have made some arguments or justifications for wearing different colors, bracelets or styles. If you have a small collection, I could see there be no decision and sticking to one piece.

Not at all. The watch and whatever I’m wearing are two separate things. I think it looks a bit silly to try and match it. It looks a bit unnatural or that you are trying to hard to do so. Just wear the watch casually. It’s the accessory not the core of what you are wearing.

Sort of…but more match the watch to the activity. I’m in shorts and tshirts most of the time so any of my watches will do. When I dress up, not often, I wear my black 116500 or Speedmaster on strap. BLRO when travelling.
My green and red OPs can be problematic, I try to keep from being too “Christmasy” like wearing the green one with a red shirt or vice versa.

I not only match the color of the watch/dial but I go as far as to match metals. My eyeglass frames, belt buckle, cuff links, wedding band, you get the picture. It is all about having fun for me and I do not see an issue with any of it. I believe the right watch for the right situation. Divers to swim, GMT when traveling, sometimes, and usually PM when I am going to be dressed up. When I had fewer watches, a SS Submariner and a Timex Ironman, it made it easy. But with time and a willingness to add I have more options.

I match the watch to my days activity versus matching it to what I'm wearing. Most of my watches are universal and go with a variety of clothing so I match the watch to what I'll be doing that day.
