eBay & Chrono24 and the 32xx movement watches....

I was just browsing eBay and Chrono24 and a question popped in my head. I wonder how many sellers are dropping/dumping the 32xx movement watches because of the on going problem/dispute? Before the problem creeps up? Whether they are knowingly selling a watch that's had issues with the movement? Or selling it right after having it serviced and not disclosing it was suffering low amplitude/loss of time? Getting rid of it before the issue comes up again? Just curious...

If I dumped my Rolex watches because of actual movement failures I have experienced, as opposed to what the Internet says, I would own zero 31 based watches.

If I based my decision on what the Internet says, as opposed to personal experience, I would have missed out on owning two of the best watches I was ever lucky enough to have.

You're probably right. I work in Finance and most people I work with that wear Rolexes or other 'luxury' watch brands aren't watch enthusiasts, they just wanted a 'nice watch'. I think that would be the same for the majority of people buying these watches

No way to know. But I do know that at least some trusted sellers check amplitude on the 32xx watches before they purchase. Can’t blame anyone that would.

Reputable dealers tend to check amplitude (and other things) regardless of 31xx or 32xx movement.

Mostly a non-issue. Yes, I'm not denying some owners have reported big drops in accuracy, but I doubt this is the norm.

My unworn 32xx based watch runs at - 6 s/d on the timegrapher (average of 5 positions) and shows an amplitude below 200° in all 3 vertical positions (3up, 6up, 9up). My worn 32xx ticks at - 1 s/d and oscilates above 200°. Since I'll be rotating, running a bit slow won't be a problem. It'd be a different story if it lost 30s a day.

Nobody is dumping Rolex watches because of the movement.

Plenty of sellers are "not disclosing", just as it has always been, so shall it likely ever be.
