maybe I am interested in the wrong Code for the good deal. I see posts about well below retail & I have yet to see the 38mm rose gold navy below retail.

Anyone? Can't imagine I'm cold storaged for turning down a sought after model if it's true.

Sure, an SA at the AD could just label you a tire kicker for turning down that watch.

The term comes from the car sales industry, where tire kickers would visit dealerships, kick tires, and talk to salespeople but rarely make a purchase.

Yes, wearing a popular item from another high-end brand can show you know your stuff and have good taste, which might help you get noticed and build a relationship with a different luxury brand.

If you have been waiting for a Code Chrono for 2 years and its not the RD4 ultra complication the boutique does not want your business for some reason.
The standard Code Chrono is not hard to get, its a piece you often have to take in order to establish a relationship to get a RO or a ROO
As others have said Id look at a gray dealer and get it at a discount, perhaps once your boutique sees you tired of waiting and got on they will start to take you seriously.

Labelled as such for turning down a sought after watch that's not on my list?

How many watches have you purchased at that AD over the last few years?

I'm totally new to AP. I was introduced to the Boutique by my cousin who has a purchase history of 16 watches with them.

Does it matter?

Then it is possible an SA at the boutique could label you a tire kicker for turning down that watch. They are in the business of making money by selling watches.

That is not necessarily a fair judgement of you.

Perhaps your cousin might visit and ask about it? That will help answer your question.

I meant ask about how the SA at the boutique regards you - a serious customer, or not one because of declining a watch you didn't want.
