Scrubbing Bubbles

Hi all,

Have read on the forum about some US product called Scrubbing Bubbles that does a good job cleaning bracelets? In Florida at the mo and thought I'd pick some up but on visiting Walmart discovered there are lots of Scrubbing Bubbles products. Don't think you guys are cleaning bracelets with Scrubbing Bubbles floor cleaner so perhaps someone who uses it can advise what specific Scrubbing Bubbles product they use?

Cheers

Andy

Andy,

any mild hand wash will clean your bracelet and watch. I use Carex under tepid water and with a very soft bristled children's tooth brush. This will do you fine. Make sure you screw down the crown and rinse afterwards. Dry off with a soft microfibre cloth.

Save yourself the strange looks at customs!

Any liquid hand soap w/ a soft toothbrush will do wonders. Make sure all crowns and pushers are screwed down and rinse well.
I'd worry about any strong chemicals in Scrubbing Bubbles.

Look its very simple no need for any special soap or special cloths or special cloths to rest your watch on.Just plain old soap and water and if above product is safe to be used by humans. Then I am 100% sure its safe to use on one of the toughest material on the planet S.Steel.And a Rolex is a water proof watch and sealed from liquids getting in.But just use plain old soap and water and any lint free clean cotton cloth to dry its really that simple.

Use the spray can stuff for baths and toilets..

If it's good enough for the Porcelain Throne, it's good enough for the Stainless Crown..

it makes me wonder... what people are doing to get their watches in such a state, that they need some thing more stronger than liquid hand soap?!

You would love the result from an ultra sonic cleaner... you get the small ones pretty cheap these days... jus dont immerse the watch only the strap...

Just the normal aerosol bathroom cleaner. It works great!

Andy,

Some people from another forum recommend this one; I,however, use it only for its intended purpose, I've never tried it on my watch, for that, liquid soap works for me.

I can testify to that as I've seen him clean his Platinum Day-Date with it.

As another possibility you can use steam to clean your bracelet. I go to my AD once a month and he steam cleans it or you can buy one for use at home. Otherwise mild hand soap and a tooth brush works wonders!!!

I drop by the AD and ask to look at product. They usually offer to dunk the bracelet (not the head) into the ultrasonic. Visit every quarter if you must. Visit two AD's in a day for those really bad days...

I use an ultrasonic cleaner too. Just for the bracelets, never put the whole watch in.

I use it on all the used watches when I first buy them and you would be surprised at what you thought was clean and the dirt that it removed. I recommend it for watches that were never cleaned before, but no need to overuse it.
