Wg sub

I have steel Pepsi too, and love them both. I wear this sub more, but I think it's because of the weight of the WG, not because it "looks" better. Every time I switch them out, I fall in love with each other all over again. Either way its Win-Win.

You have any pics of both together - I have never seen the two in one shot....

THANKS!

Blue dial and bezel sub
Blue dial GMT
Meteorite GMT
Black dial blue bezel sub

In that order…also wouldn’t say no to any!

+1 for the GMT. That said, the prior blue submariner with the blue dial at 40mm was excellent!

Er, I reckon that would be last as virtually identical to the SS model!

Hopefully that's what helps it maintain collector status vs. blue dial white gold variant. what are your thoughts?

I did not understand the point of white gold due to its close appearance to stainless steel. However, one of the long time members here pointed out to me how some people like the heft of gold without the flashiness of yellow gold. I tried to buy a white gold/blue dial Daytona after seeing one and realizing white gold has a warmer color than stainless.

I think it will down the line, 20-30 years as a lot of people swapped to blue from black and don’t think you can swap the other way.

One to keep if you can!

Feels like an afterthought.
The reason given was the difficulty and cost in making the blue/red bezel. Early on a lot rejects. They needed the higher net margin of the WG to make the work on the bezel profitable.

The GMT is the better choice for me. Its dual time zone feature and that striking blue dial can really make a statement in your collection.

Obvious choice is to get both.
One will time and the other track timezones(s)
