Sticks for me, however in some instances the new diamond baguettes look great.

For Day-Date, baguettes. For DJ, while i also like the look of the diamond dials, i think i slightly prefer the batons.

If we could perhaps subdivide “diamonds” into a) baguettes and b) other diamond markers (pinball, 8+2, etc), and also add my #1 DD/DJ option, then I’d say -
#1 - No markers #2 - Batons #3 - Baguettes #4 - Arabic #5 - Other diamonds #6 - Romans Mechanical wristwatches are already anachronistic to some extent, and to my eye, the way Roman markers evoke grandfather clocks (or even sundials!) just takes that disjoint a step too far. To me personally, no-markers is well out in front, while #2, #3, & #4 are virtually in a 3-way dead heat for the 2d spot. Ofc, for some DD dials there are few or no choices - Burlwood dials will have batons, vignette dials will have 8+2 diamonds, etc. |

Romans with alternating Batons is the one for me.

To me it depends on whether it's the 40 or 36. Romans looks best on the 40. Lumed sticks look best on the 36. Since lume is no longer available on the 36, Romans look better now.

For DJ, sticks is my preference.
For DD, the deconstructed Romans. |

I like the western arabic numerals the best, as I don't speak Roman. Rose gold + lume |

Have the romans, but love the sticks, too. Not fond of the Arabic or diamonds...

Rainbow is definitely on the top of the list... IMHO.

Baton, Baguette, diamonds in that order.
