Would you trade a black IWC Ingenieur for an Aqua one?
Since my black is used and the Aqua is new, I would have to throw in some cash.

I wouldn’t
But imo it al depends on how many watches you have A black dial is timeless while the aqua might get boring pretty quick. So only if you have enough watches to rotate you might consider it.

I do have a ton of watches, many black, none aqua. I do find the Ingy’s aqua color charming.

I wouldn't, but just my subjective take in the context of my collection and what other colors etc are in it.
I bought the white/silver dial, which is beautiful, but also a better fit in my collection with plenty of black, blue and green dials. Also have a strong preference for brushed center links. I'd be happy to never have PCLs again, too OCD I guess. |

I think it depends on what else is in your collection. Since you have a lot of black dials, you should consider it.
I'm looking at the Black dial myself, but have a BLNR with PCLs, so looking for an all brushed bracelet. Otherwise, I'd trade up for the Titanium version. |

I would not as I don't like the greenish dial color of the Aqua.

I'd probably make that trade. The Aqua color draws me in.

If you prefer the versatility and newness of the Omega Aqua Terra, it could be a great upgrade, especially if you’re looking for something fresh. However, if you’re attached to the IWC Ingenieur’s distinctive design or craftsmanship, it might be worth holding onto. It ultimately depends on which piece better aligns with your collection and wearing style.

Thank you, Ingy Aqua fans. I really do think it is more unique than black.

Tough one… the aqua and black are the two I have a hard time choosing between. I would take either over the white or Ti.
For me, the black is solid and cool, the aqua has a unique flair. One isn’t better than the other, it’s which one speaks more to you. Sounds like you want the aqua…. Nothing wrong with giving it a try. |

Recently I had the itch, you know that feeling, where you've got some residual money to indulge on a new piece.
I very nearly pulled the trigger on an aqua, but the black grew on me too. Here's why; The aqua is striking, and kind of winks at you on and off the wrist. With the PCL's I think makes the watch a bit more dressier. Don't get me wrong, it can handle a pair of shorts and a tee shirt too. Just my opinion FWIW. The black faced watch is understated but has slightly more versatility than the aqua. Being true to its roots as a tool watch, the dial is subdued and centre links are brushed with a slightly polished shamphered edge. In my humble opinion you couldn't go wrong with either but your head has been turned for a reason! If I bought one or the other, I'd end up yearning for the one I left behind for definite. That's a hard decision, I love them both. Can't go wrong with the black, and the texture gives it many 'looks', but the aqua is cool too.

For me black was the one to go with, closest to the original

The aqua looks great in real life.
I’ll be interested in checking out the blue too though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
