Need Mac help

Hi All,

I new to Mac and loving it. Just wondering how do I clear the cache in safari?
And does it empty the temp files and clean up junk like Windows.

Is that a way to clean up the hard drive to keep the usage volume down?

Safari > Reset Safari and select what you want it to clear... There is really not much need to clear cookies and stuff unless you are having a problem or you want to hide something from the Mrs.

Thanks Sperry! Can you tell me how do you snap shot the screen with short-cut keys? I have the Mac salesman done it before and I didn't catch it while he did it

Shift+Apple+3

It will place the image on your desktop. Unlike Windows, there is no need to open a graphics program and paste it into it.

Try Command+f

It opens up a search bar for searching web pages for a word or words.

You can open a whole page of want ads, and type "Rolex", and the Rolex text will highlight.

I also picked up a program at the apple store, Mac Tune up. It basically does a more in-depth clean up of everything.

OK, now I have a looming question.........

....after reading this at work yesterday, and having the same problem on my Mac at home (going to TRF and having the computer respond that the server is not responding), I tried emptying the cache last night, restarting, etc.


NOTHING. I still cannot access TRF from my Mac at home. Or, was the site down again last night?

Any suggestions?
