Dan Brown's New Book and ramblings of a sick woman.

The Lost Symbol came out yesterday. I bought it today. Unfortunately, I think I have the flu.

So I cut my day short, because I don't want to pass this on to my patients and I took timorrow off. I have asthma so I was worried the new strain of swine flu would give me trouble. (all the while my husband is in the background like Archie Bunker...your going to end up in the hospital, you need to go see someone) Well, I saw myself! Hehehehe!

So, anyway, I got the new book and I am on chapter 14 and this book is going to be a real thrill ride.

Tomorrow, I will be hanging around waiting for the fever to go away, so I can go back to work. God forbid I pass this on to a small infant.

I didn't get tested for flu because I don't want tamiflu. It only stops viral replication, not kill. So just cold meds and advil.....and some antibiotics to prevent secondary infection.

Anyway, check out the new Dan Brown book, reads well so far....but I am on some heavy duty cough meds so it and the Grey Goose may be swaying my critique.....

Hope you feel better Kaya!

You should read that book again in a couple of months when you're not sick and see if you still like it as much!

I'm still here and this stupid fever is kicking my butt. The book is getting better with every chapter. I hate being sick and wasting my vacation days by being sick! If I didn't have a fever, I would go to work, but if this is influenza then I don't want to spread it.

Get well soon Kaya!

Diane and I just finished Angels and Demons. Excellent book from a fantastic storyteller.

Will most definitely be getting The Lost Symbol.

Anyways - feel better.

The Lost Symbol takes up where the Davinci Code left off. It's fast paced like his other books.
I am taking a break from the read at the moment because my cats were destroying my house.

I don't understand how something so cute could turn into a monster!
Her name is Chupacabra

But I am just about ready to go back to work, because staying at home with my cats is more work!

Chupacabra

Mephistopheles

Yeah I knew that the next installment was post Davinci Code (another superbly written novel).

Very cute cats (I think they all have their own way of letting you know that you aren't paying enough attention to them).

We had a German Shepherd that would eat parts of blankets and sheers (while they were hanging in the windows) if she was mad at you!!

Name your cat Chupacabra and you are inviting trouble.
Try Beelzebub, or Lucifer next time around

Sorry about the illness. I can't take Advil, but regular old aspirin works for me and is your fever low-grade or has it spiked and going down? Hope you feel better.

Thanks! I have been running between 100 to 101 on the Advil. I'm sure it has been higher. The fever has been comming and going like a normal fever would.

I have been seeing a lot of sick kids in my practice and a few of the nurses and office staff have had it. Usually my resistance is higher....

The black cat is named Mephistopheles which is a reference to the devil and the third cat is Tatsu which means dragon in Japanese. I named them after monsters because they are monsters......and they prove it on a daily basis!

Kaya, I'm right there with you dear. I've had this crap for a week and finally feel like I'm making the turn. My wife read the book and liked it much. Hope you feel better soon.

You reminded me that I have a bottle of Goose in the freezer. Off to the fridge

Sounds to me that you are sick. Man, at my age a 102 fever would knock me off my feet. Hope you get better soon.
