I just watched this movie this morning, having never seen it before. Unreal I know.
His watch looked like a Midas to me. I could be wrong of course.

Not sure but I read somewhere that after the movie came out, all the Wall St brokers, etc. went out and bought it. I'm pretty sure it was a Cartier something, 9kish at the time

Side note, I haven't worked on Wall St for a few years, but my friend who still does said they were filming the sequel, I guess called Wall Street II?? Gordon gets out of jail, and I think is running a hedge fund now

I know I read somewhere after the movie came out, the Wall St crowd flocked to buy them...I guess it was that link cause that NY Times article is dated 1989 and said they couldn't keep them in stock
