Rolex Travel Case
It looks like a lot of you travel only with a single Rolex. Those that do travel with more than one, what travel case do you use. The Orbita roll case looks interesting but apparently does work well with Rolex bands set to less than 7" wrists.

I just use a travel pouch. Small, so it fits easily into my briefcase or pocket and provides good protection.

Are those green suede Rolex snap pouches the one that the RSC's used to send back with your services Rolex? I have one at the Dallas RSC and am curious what it will come back in.

Oakley 07-233 Small Watch Soft Vault. $20 from Amazon. This is the best watch case I've seen. It is perfect for traveling with, or storing, any kind of watch on a bracelet versus a strap. Here's why:
o I don't like the bracelet to touch the caseback, as it will when the watch is in a "flat" case. This travel case is perfect -- it has an indentation in the bottom "cup" that is shaped to hold the bracelet in place. o The size is perfect -- your watch is secure and won't move around. A 40mm Rolex Sub / GMT or 42mm Omega SMP fit like a glove. A 36mm Rolex DJ fits well also with just a shade of slack. o The case is firm but not hard . . . the textured exterior has a little bit of "give". Yet it is not squishable. It's just right. o Very nice quality. o The soft lining protects the finish of your watch. Buy a bunch of 'em. Best 20 bucks you'll spend on your expensive watches. Cheers, Dave |

Here's my Oakley, which was a gift from Grissom in one of his give-aways. It's quite nice when all you need to carry is one extra watch.

Another vote for the Oakley Vault. I've traveled with the Vault for my Sub C and it fits perfectly inside, and slips easily into my briefcase.

Add me to the list of happy Oakley Watch Vault owners. All of mine are the smaller model, and they fit watches as large as 42mm quite nicely. Any larger and you'd likely be well served to move up to the large model.

Another user of the Oakley Watch Vault here. I recommend the Small version unless you own watches of DSSD/Panerai Size.

Got two of these from my dealer for free. =D
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BREITLING-TR...2#ht_202wt_100 Slightly bulkier than the most travel cases, but it does protect the watch very very well. |

I use the Rolex green pouch. Since I only travel with one watch, usually the pouch only gets used to store the watch in my carry-on while I go through the full body cavity search provided by TSA.
I'm picking up a Bremont this week. Bremont doesn't use a presentation case -- they use leather pouches. It's going to be a great travel pouch, and to be honest I'm tired of having presentation boxes taking up space in my closets. I'll post pics when I get it. |
