New Beater!
So a funny thing happened after I purchased my Rolex a few weeks ago. For the first time in over ten years I was wearing a watch every day. I got used to having one again and when I was doing muddy yard work or construction I didn't have a rugged beater to wear. What is a man to do?!?! I had a GShock when I was a kid and it took 7 years to kill. I figure that's like 500 boring adult years.
I love the thing, its useful, can be run over by a truck and still work, and is quite comfortable on my wrist. Just wanted to share some pictures of it. FYI it's a Casio G-Shock G9000MX-8V. A nice new tin can: Ooo, some orange to spice it up: What Rolex?!? Looks good on my wrist: The dual illumination is pretty cool looking, and easy to read: So now when I'm building houses with the family business or just don't feel like risking the Rolex to really heavy activities I have a new utility watch that still makes me smile. Although for totally different reasons of course! FYI I got it for $68 shipped, new. Pretty good price I think, I usually see them for $99+. |

Very nice. Had one myself in my younger days. Great rugged beater to be sure.

They are imo awesome watches.
They beat any other watch for rugginess hands down. I have a G Shock that I have had for 12 years and it has never let me down.

I have a G Shock Gulfman. Great watch for the price but now I feel like I was ripped off. I paid $80.00.

Not my cup of tea but I know they have a devoted following.
Congrats, dP
