Trip to Maui

Just got back from a week long trip to Maui. Took the Explorer II and put it through its paces: snorkeling, scuba diving, pool, and beach time--wore it 24/7. Being able to use two time zones was very helpful. This trip confirmed my personal opinion that the Explorer II is the best Rolex tool/beater watch.

Didn't see too many Rolex's out there. A hand full of Subs., GMTs, and only one other Explorer II. I stopped by Baron and Leeds, the AD on Maui, and checked out their stock. They had just about everything except for a SS Daytona (lucky for me I own one). Service was friendly.

At the resort I stayed at, there was a Rolls Royce, a Ferrari, and a Bugatti parked in front. The valet told me a guest owned all three and 40 other high end luxury cars. The Bugatti was one of thirty made. A couple of days later, I noticed the Bugatti was gone. The valet told me the owner had taken it for a spin around the block. A few minutes later, he drives up, gets out, and goes into the resort. I noticed he was wearing a Pepsi GMT--diamond encrusted face and jeweled bezel. Nice, but I would rather have an Explorer II.

Way to go I am going back to Maui in Jan. staying at the Grand. I love Barons and Leeds (too bad for me it's by the LV store I always get stuck buying a bag $$$$) I have only bought one watch from B&L a LV Sub back in 06. B&L will not discount better deals on the mainland. Glad you had fun.

Funny... you were just in Maui... Joey is headed there in 5 days... and I'm there right now on vacation! I just took my new day-date through snorkeling/diving and the beach/swimming. It still looks brand new!

The last time I went to Maui itself, the "road to Hana" was still in bad shape and the 7 pools were bone dry. I enjoyed going up on top of the crater and talking to ham radio operators on other islands.

I've skipped that island on subsequent trips to the islands. I prefer the big island!

Sounds like a great trip. We honeymooned on Kaua'i a year ago, and it is a beautiful place too. Maui will have to be next on the list.

We've been going to Maui once or twice a year for a while... It's our favorite island..

The EXP II is the watch that has made the trip the most times... perfect for all the adventures you could have there:

Sounds like you had a great time!

I REALLY need to visit Maui! We stayed in Honolulu about 3.5 years ago and I think we're due for a trip back to Hawaii!

I'm blessed to call Maui my home and while living here has its ups and downs, I would not want to live anywhere else on earth. For those of you who come to visit, I wish you a fabulous well-deserved vacation, relax, take in the beautiful scenery, enjoy the wonderful activities, and have fun! Maui no ka oi (is the best) Aloha!

I got back from Maui, Kauai and Oahu about three weeks ago and Maui was defiantly our favorite. We were gone two weeks and saw a lot. I can't wait to get back and defiantly get to the big island to see the volcano. Neil
