Today's Rainbow
Went for a walkabout today to test some b&w settings. Typical English weather. It starts drizzling as soon as I stepped out the door. No worries. Got my waterproof and wellies on. I wandered out by the pub, then around where the post office is, then down a narrow muddy lane with tall hedge rows 'cause I thought it might be a good place for some b&w work in the misty yuck. Then it starts really raining! Great. I figure I'm going to find out what a Canon 5D can take.
So it lets up a bit and I decide to shoot through a break in the hedge just because. Shot a b&w, then looked up to see a fantastic rainbow that appeared to emanate from a line of trees. The one tree was just lit up. Well, here are 3 shots. The first in b&w before I realized there was a rainbow there (you can just make it out). The next two are in full bloom. Another great rainbow, and there I was with a 50mm lens AGAIN and no where to back up enough to catch it all. Oh, then it hailed on me before I got home. Was right by the pub then. Shoulda gone in |

Very nice, Bruce. Let's face it, with rainbows, color shots are usually better than BW.
