Both watches appear to have the same thickness, the 328 is wider and more curvaceous, which makes it look it is sitting lower than the SDDS. Love the quality of both watches and are keeper for sure.

This is my first Rolex and I really can't wait to get my next one like a DD II or DJ II. But that is way down the line if my brain has any say in it

That's exactly what I've been saying for over a year...last Sept most thought I was some guy trying to convince myself by preaching the merits/comfort of the watch, yet now that more and more people are experiencing it for real (as opposed to all the 'internet photo haters' that have no true concept of the watch) I see I'm finally getting some support.

My SMP Chrono is smaller in diameter & thickness (not to mention it has a wider bracelet) and believe it or not the DSSD is more comfortable. That's not an argument just to defend the DSSD...I love my SMP and will never part with it...I'm just being honest w/ my assessment of the two watches. I cringe every time I read, "Too big/thick to be a daily wearer..." without fail those words seem to come from guys that have never tried the watch .

I hear ya...I too prefer to have a watch that not every other Joe seems to be sporting. But have no fear...as soon as the new SS Supercase Sub-C hits the market next year, I have no doubt it will soar in sales and that's all we'll be hearing, reading or seeing around these forums and/or on the streets. Then, once again all us Sea-Dweller owners will quietly sink back into the shadows of our own quiet 'Club' of uniqueness & non-mainstream ownership.
