Daytona second hands do not spring back to 12

Have anyone experience this before? Most usually do not use the stop watch function on the daytona but one day when you press it, the second hands do not spring back to 12 after you press stop and reset. It spring backs to 1. Stop watch function still working.

I have this same problem with my other chronos...tag heuer and tudor over 10 years....did the spring broke?

Get Rolex C to fix?

For those daytona owners out there with 116520, 16520 or vintage....
Tudor Chronos may contribute too....

You would think you spend thousands of dollars on a watch it should pop back perfectly , but anything man made is bound to have problems , send it in...

I have a SS V series Daytona and my second hand is not at EXACTLY 12 o'clock. It lives one mark to the right (not at the one second mark, but at the 2/10th of a second mark). If you don't look closely you wouldn't see it......but I do, so when I send it in for service in ~5-7 years I will have them take care of it.
I wonder if anyone else with a chrono has this problem....?

I have that problem with my Tag chrono sometimes but I am able to fix it by unscrewing the crown and pulling it out to the 1st position and push the start button as many times until it gets back to the correct position...

Do you mean to pull the crown to the 1st position where you turn to change date?

Will this work for Daytona and Tudor Chrono? Since Tudor Chrono and Tag Heuer is using the same calibre 7750........Anyone try this before?

From my experience, most Daytonas don't line up correctly. Send it back if it bothers you (I simply flipped it).

I thought I had read here on TRF that the second hand could be realigned buy pushing the buttons in some sort of sequence but please don't quote me on that okay guys. If anyone has info please advise. Thanks.

My experience with a Titanium Heuer chrono was similar, but mostly occured if seconds hand was only advanced less than say 10 seconds (2 o'clock), would not quite go all the way back. My "fix" was to let seconds hand go forward a fair bit, then it had enough "momentum" to spring back to 12.

Having said that, this happened even after sending watch back 4 or 5 times, eventually I demanded a new watch. They did give me a replacement, but it now has TAG Heuer on dial.

My F-reg is spot on 12 but a friend of mine has a early Z reg and that one is always about half a second past the 12 . He took it in once and the AD told him that this happens quite often . Something to do how the hand was placed apparently .He will have it looked at when it goes in for service . I have to admit it would bother me more then it seems to bother him .
