Influences...

Is there anyone here at TRF that has influenced you to buy a particular Rolex, either directly or indirectly?

I'll start. Indirectly, Dan Pierce. After looking at his stunning pics of his beautiful Tudors, I bought my first Tudor Chrono. If it hadn't been for his pics, I don't think I would have ever considered buying one. Thanks Dan!!!

I almost immediately got the new TT gmt 2C without even trying it! once the deal went through ;) i even didnt knew how to set the time via the independant hour hand!! i had to look up youtube! and then thats how i found TRF!

After seeing Dan & Mike's (TRF Moderator) fabulous GMT II's, I have to admit, I looked closer at making one of those my next watch.

Both of these guys were also a WEALTH of info re: Coke Vs. Pepsi questions / parts / etc. etc.

Now I am looking for a Mint Super Jubilee bracelet! D*rn you Dan!!!

I also have a new spiffy Orbita two-watch travel case as a result of his recommendation.

I would accuse him of owning stock in Rolex, but I know they are privately held

I wanted a DSSD for a while, but seeing Mike's (moderator) at the Cincy/N.Ky GTG was the final nail in the coffin....

I knew a Dentist once. He steered me clear of my darkened path by making me realize there were those worse off than me.

Yes, it was Eddie (directioneng).

I was so keen on getting a TT DJ-II, but he convinced me to first try out the TT GMT-IIC.

So I went over to my AD and had the Manager place both watches side-by-side......and the rest, as they say, is history!!

Dan has definitely inspired me to seriously consider Tudors. They weren't even on my radar before I joined here, but they are now. Larry and Mike's beautiful photos also continually stoke my desires to acquire more Rolex watches, especially those of the vintage variety.

If Dan has truly influenced me and mesmerised me into buying one product, it would have to be the SS Super Jubilee bracelet. He makes it look so damned stunning on his GMT-II!!

Yes....the Super Jubilee does not fit. But it does fit the GMT-II (16710) and probably the Exp-II.

Contact DAVIDSW or one of the other guys. I'm sure they'll be able to source one out for you.

Good luck - JJ

Has he been banned yet?? He's like "Jason" from the Horror movies...just keeps coming back with a new user name and the same cr*ppy grammar.
