The 'windy' thing on the GV is 7mm. I believe the DJ II has the smaller crown and this was one of the negatives that it received when it was released but I have been W..Wr..Wro...mistaken once before.

Well the 'edit function' doesn't help.
I said 8mm because: I was just checking to see if you were paying attention. I had a mental block. My memory has gone. I was distracted by 'enter something'. I was m...mi...mista....WRONG. I should have measured it to begin with.

You got me Jocke. I am on my second G & T.
In my defence it is 43 *c south of Adelaide today. I took this pix a few minutes ago - it was 5.15 PM. The sensor is under the eaves on the shaded south side of the house. Who knows what its like in the sun. The air conditioning is struggling and we have three more days of this before a cool change on Tuesday.

This is something I just noticed this week too.
I purchased a DJII but I didn't start wearing it until I sold my Millie. I was setting the time/date Monday and was thinking the crown was really small....... I went back and looked at the pictures posted of the DJII and Millie side by side. (Eric! Those are great pictures and they did come in handy!!) The crown is a good bit smaller on a DJII.....

Yeah when I went to look at the DJII at my local AD that was the first thing I spotted as compared to my milgauss...the crown just looks way too small for the watch imo....until you flip it sideways and realize the case is just not nearly as thick as the milgauss. The faraday really makes a difference in the thickness of the milgauss. Compared with a GMTIIc, Sub, and DJ it is way thicker and is what drew me to it. It also feels a lot heavier to me as compared to the stainless versions of the afforementioned. The very shiny bezel on the DJ helps with the presence factor though as it really makes that model wear larger than it looks.
