I don't entirely dislike them actually, I read the posts and thought "I should hate these but I don't." i must admit though the originals are much more pleasing to the eye. If I were to buy one I would have the Explorer.

  How does the saying go? "Different is not always better, but better is always different." With all the work that goes into making the Rolex SS look so good, then this? They do not respect steel. You have to respect the steel! Don't flame me but, I guess I feel the same way when someone replaces a beautiful Oyster bracelet for a Nato strap!

 "To each his own."A purist forum like this should evoke such strong negative responses. I'll stir the pot a bit by saying that I have seen one of these in person at a watch shop in Milan. It actually looked....dare I say....nice? I thought it added a nice tactical, rugged finished look without detracting from the overall essence. If you wanted a more subdued finish and wished to wear a Rolex, you now have more options and choices. No more worries about Barracudas being attracted to chomp my shiny watch when I scuba! JMHO.There are aftermarket companies that upgrade BMWs and Mercedes too. I guess ultimately it's a matter of preference and in the eye of the beholder. It's always nice to have options and choices.  --Paul
